Frank Lloyd Wright and Taliesin photographs:
Photographs documenting Frank Lloyd Wright, his family, friends, apprentices, and Taliesin, his home and studio in Spring Green, Wisconsin, ca. 1924-1926. Included are images of Wright, his wife Olgivanna, and their infant daughter Iovanna. Other individuals documented include Werner Moser, Richard Neutra, and several Taliesin apprentices including Kameki Tsuchiura. Additional images include views of the exterior of Taliesin, a group gathered in the Taliesin living room for a strings concert, draftsmen working in the studio, and the dam at Taliesin.
Ray Bayley interview with Lillian E. Diederich:
Papers and audio tape consisting of an interview by Bayley of Lillian E. Deiderich, on whom a character from August Derleth's “Evening in Spring” was based. Also included are handwritten transcripts of the recording, a short biography of Ray Bayley, Bayley's paper based on the interview which was presented to the Wisconsin Writer's Conference in Baraboo, and Lillian E Diederich's obituary.
Charles D. Bakeman:
Papers and audio tape consisting of a written transcript of an oral history (1946) conducted by Charles D. Bakeman of Charles H. Bakeman (grandfather) who was a survivor of the Peshtigo fire. CHB recounts his experiences before, during, and after the Peshtigo fire. In addition, there is a compilation of copied letters between Charles H. Bakeman and his wife Nina (1893-1894) as well as Charles D. Bakeman’s genealogical research entitled “Bakeman Family in Wisconsin” (1992).
