England, Ireland, Scotland: Conducting Effective Genealogical Research in the United Kingdom
Researchers interested in conducting genealogical research in the British Isles are invited to join for this seminar. David McDonald, CGSM, of DeForest will lead the sessions.
Presentations will cover research in England, Ireland and Scotland, offering an overview of methods and records. Though long-joined under one Crown, the records, churches and language of these constituent parts of the United Kingdom reflect subtle but very important differences which must be considered when engaging in research. Civil registration, modern records and the effective use of the internet will be explored as part of each hour-long session.
