How to View or Request Copies of Records
The corporation records are not viewable online. Only the index is online.
With one to two weeks advance notice selected corporation files may be reviewed in the Society's Archives Research Room or at one of the twelve Area Research Centers located throughout the state. There is no charge for requesting and reviewing these records.
There are two options for obtaining photocopies of the documents:
- All documents in the file
- Only original articles of incorporation, last annual report, and dissolution documents if present in the file.
Option 2 will generally provide all available clues for trying to track the assets of a corporation no longer active or for determining if stock in the defunct corporation has value.
For costs and terms, or to place an order for copies, see Obtaining Copies from the Archives.
