Federal Government Publications
The Wisconsin Historical Society Library, with the University of Wisconsin, is a regional depository for United States government publications. Particular subject area strengths are labor, foreign relations, census information, legislative branch activities, and civil rights.
Items in the federal government collection may be requested in-person at the Library's Circulation Desk or via Interlibrary Loan.
To discover if the library owns a particular title, search the Library Catalog (formerly MadCat). Because records for many publications will not be found in the Library Catalog, please contact the Society's Government Publications staff at 608-261-2460 if you are having trouble locating a publicaton.
