Borrowing Material through Interlibrary Loan: Information for Libraries
Researchers: Find more information about interlibrary loan on our information for researchers web page.
Interlibrary lending at the Wisconsin Historical Society (OCLC symbol WIH) is handled by the University of Wisconsin-Madison Libraries.
Wisconsin Historical Society materials are available through interlibrary loan, by following either of these steps:
- OCLC: Send requests to symbol WIH or GZM. Either way, requests will be fielded by UW-Madison staff.
- Non-OCLC: Submit your requests online using UW-Madison's web form. To establish a login and password for the web form, call 608-262-1193 or email firstname.lastname@example.org. Please do not email or fax requests to either the Historical Society or UW-Madison.
UW-Madison's lending policies, charges and limits apply to Wisconsin Historical Society loans. A full description of the policies is available on the UW Libraries Lending Policies web page. These same policies are also described in the OCLC Policies Directory entries for GZM and WIH.
