Restoration of the Whitewater Passenger Depot Museum building will take place in 2012. The museum will be closed during the restoration project but we anticipate a grand reopening event in late September of 2012. Normal open hours are typically Memorial Day-Labor Day, Wednesdays, 9AM-5PM. These hours are expected to expand. The museum is also open by appointment (call 262-473-6820). The Depot Museum is often open when community events are scheduled on the Cravath Lakefront.
The Whitewater Historical Society collects, preserves and interprets the local history of Whitewater and surrounding towns. Our mission includes the preservation of the Whitewater Passenger Depot built for the Chicago, St. Paul and Milwaukee Railroad in 1890 and a Stone Stable, built c. 1845 and restored by the Whitewater community in 2007.
