Halloween Week at the Wisconsin Historical Museum: Weird and Strange Wisconsin
Use any adjective you like — weird, strange or freaky — in the 162 years since Wisconsin became a state, it has sheltered more than its share of bizarre people, places and things. Author Linda S. Godfrey has documented it all, from obsessed folk sculptors and ghost roads to UFOs and pigmen, goatmen and werewolves in books such as "Strange Wisconsin," "The Beast of Bray Road," "Weird Wisconsin" (co-authored with R.D. Hendricks) and "Haunted Wisconsin: Ghosts and Strange Phenomena of the Badger State." Join her for an illustrated walk down Wisconsin's weird side.
