Medal is cast in bronze. The front side depicts in relief of the landing of Christopher Columbus. Raised lettering reads "Oct.xii, MCCCXCII". Obverse side lettering reads "World's Columbian Expos. in Commemoration of the 400th Anniv. of the Landing of Columbus. MDCCCXCII-MDCCCXCIII to Mrs. S. Frackelton"
Frackelton won this medal and many others at the Columbian Exposition in Chicago in 1893. Medal donated in 1957 by Frackelton's daughter, Gladys F. Seely.
