"Life on the Farm" program, 3rd floor

Do you enjoy working with children? Would you like to expand your own knowledge of Wisconsin history as you share your expertise with curious students?

Position Description: Present hour-long programs to schoolchildren and youth groups, using reproduction artifacts and other materials to provide an interactive learning experience. Attend training sessions and study independently as needed in specific content areas. Current guided programs are Native Peoples of Wisconsin and Why History Matters.

Time Commitment: During the school year, tour guides are asked to present an average of three programs per month.

Native Peoples of Wisconsin consists of a one-hour guided segment on the second floor of the Museum and a half-hour self-guided segment. During the half-hour self-guided segment groups will be allowed to visit all three exhibit floors. This program is offered Tuesday-Friday, September 15th-March 1st. Why History Matters consists of a one-hour guided segment on the third and fourth floors of the Museum and a half-hour self-guided segment. During the half-hour self-guided segment groups will be allowed to visit all three exhibit floors. This program is offered Tuesday-Friday, September 15th-June 15th.
