History Day Volunteer
for National History Day in Wisconsin.
Would you like to be part of an exciting academic enrichment program that helps students learn about historical issues, ideas, people, and events?
This progressive contest cycle is open to students in grades 6-12. For a smoothly running event volunteers are needed to help with registration, room monitoring, and other assorted duties.
Regional History Day events are normally held in February or March. Regional winners advance to the state event held at the
Wisconsin Historical Society and the University of Wisconsin - Madison in late April/early May. State winners advance to the national contest in June at the University of Maryland. Both the south central regional and the state competitions are held on Saturdays at the Wisconsin Historical Society on the UW Campus.
