Museum Store Volunteers
Restocking Wisconsin history
Would you like to help students pick out a souvenir of the class trip or advise a business traveler on something to take home? Would you enjoy restocking shelves or preparing merchandise for sale?
Position Description: Assist customers as they shop for items that reflect Wisconsin’s historic, artistic, and playful past and present, including books, toys, reproduction pottery, and items handcrafted by Wisconsin’s diverse ethnic groups. Restock store shelves, assist with inventory, or sticker items for sale.
Time Commitment: Since shopping follows
a seasonal pattern in Museum attendance,
store volunteers are needed most during the
holiday season and the busy spring months,
when thousands of students visit the Museum.
During those times, volunteers are asked to
work two 3-hour shifts per month.
