Teen Volunteers
Would you like to give back to your community by volunteering? Are you looking for service and work experience to add to your resume?
Position Description: Most of the Museum's teen volunteers work at the Information Desk on Saturdays and during the summer, where they greet visitors, tell them about the Museum's exhibits, and answer questions about the Museum and downtown Madison.
Time Commitment: Information Desk volunteers work two 3-hour shifts per month (schedule can be adjusted for vacations and other scheduling conflicts). All Museum volunteers are asked to make a six-month commitment to the program.
"I wanted to do some volunteering, and it seemed great to be able to explore my interest in history while supporting a museum that I have loved ever since I was a child. I've stayed because the people I work with are very kind and it's a nice way to spend some time and help out, too." Teen Museum Volunteer
