Earth Day

Dateline: Somewhere in Wisconsin, March 14, 1981. These athletes put a novel spin on the phrase "Earth Day." Seriously, though, today's international celebration exists largely because of the efforts of Wisconsin's own Gaylord Nelson. These and more photographs related to Sen. Nelson can be found in Wisconsin Historical Images.
