Read It-See It: Take Part in the Classic Book & Movie Club

The Wisconsin Historical Society and the Wisconsin Center for Film and Theater Research are teaming up with The Capital Times to showcase some of the film archives' most classic holdings — in a free public venue for all to enjoy. The Classic Book & Movie Club will present three screenings of classic movies adapted from classic novels of the 19th and 20th centuries: Ernest Hemingway's A Farewell to Arms on Sunday, May 2; Raymond Chandler's The Big Sleep on Sunday, Sept. 19; and Charlotte Bronte's Jane Eyre on Sunday, Jan. 23, 2005. All screenings begin at 1:30 p.m.
