Madeline Island Historical Museum

Madeline Island Historical Museum rests just yards from the ferry boat landing in historic La Pointe on Madeline Island, the largest of the Apostle Islands in Lake Superior. The museum's exhibits trace more than 300 years of Wisconsin history from the presence of the native Ojibwe people who called the island their spiritual home through the arrival of the first European explorers and fur traders to the early 20th century, when summer tourists began flocking to the island's shores.
