Herrling Sawmill at Wade House

The Herrling sawmill at Wade House historic site in Greenbush is one of only a rare few working water-powered sawmills of its kind in the nation. The re-created mill stands on the same spot as the original mill, which stood on the site from 1854 to 1910. The vertical "muley" saw mechanism is powered by a turbine that draws power from a three-acre millpond.
