… I am happy to hear from you of the good dispositions of your convention respectg the new Constitution—If Connecticut Massachusetts & New Hampshire receive it without any such difficulties as have taken place in Pennsylvania it will be certainly adopted generally—if they reject it we shall be miserable and may expect that the consequent confusions which will be raised by wicked men will issue in the voice [will?] of the [– – –] and currency will double [next page missing]
