To Capt. Benjamin Ball Constable for the Town of Townshend Greeting

In the Name of the Common Wealth of Massachusetts—you are hereby Required to Notify & Warn the freeholders and other Inhabitents of the above Said town quallifyed to Vote for a Representative, and other town affairs that they, Assemble & meet at the Publick meeting House in Said Town on Fryday the Seventh Day of Decr. Next at one of the Clock in the after noon.

1—To Chuse a moderator to Govern Said meeting.

2—to See if the Town will Chuse a Delegate to meet in Convention agreable to a Resolve of the General Court for the Purpos of Rattifying the Fedaral Constitution which Convention is to be Held at the State House in Boston on the Second Wednesday of January Next.

The Town to act on all the above articles as they may think Proper when meet.
