It is thought to be worth a remark, that many of the opposers, open and secret, of the proposed Constitution, are such merely from the circumstance of their not having had a hand in framing it. To such characters the satirist has applied the following couplet with much felicity—

“They’d save their country if they cou’d,

But damn it ere another shou’d.”
