Historic Sites Focus on Postseason Special Events

At the close of another season of living history, two of the Society's historic sites now focus on postseason special events and workshops while the others go to work packing away their collections for winter storage and planning for the 2010 season. Old World Wisconsin will present a pair of special postseason holiday events, The Spirit of Christmas Past and a Swedish Holiday Dinner on December 5-6 and 12-13.

At Wade House, the 1860s stagecoach inn and its associated attractions have closed for the season, but will reopen for a series of Saturday Hearthside Dinners. Visit the Wade House website for complete details, including Wade House's own postseason Christmas celebration, A Wade House Christmas on December 5-6.

At Circus World there is still an abundance of circus history to be found in the unparalleled exhibits in its circus museum. You can also see the world's largest and most complete collection of antique circus wagons. And Circus World's historic Ringlingville, comprising the largest surviving group of original circus structures in North America, is open on weekends for self-guided tours.
