  • Elementary: Rowing to Old La Pointe (Page 5-6)
    This lesson plan uses the online resources of Madeline Island in order to show students Madeline Island's connection to history. Using the online materials and the resources recommended, students will get a better understanding of their unique place in Wisconsin history. Visiting the island is a treat, but not required, as the site also provides a virtual tour of the Island.
  • Secondary: Using Architectural History to Raise Community Awareness (Pages 11-12)
    In this lesson plan, students will look at buildings in their community to understand the value of historic property.
