NHD in WI Bids Farewell to MD
Team Wisconsin met bright and early for a group photograph in front of our dorm before marching together to the awards ceremony.
Wisconsin joined right in with other state delegations during the state parade before the awards ceremony. Here Caitlin Thompson, Danielle Hubing, and Cody Haro display their Badger Pride on the floor of the Cole Fieldhouse.
Melanie Iverson, Kelsey Jamison, Jenna Mathison watch the awards ceremony with their new bovine companion.
David Hagenbucher, of D.C. Everest Junior High School in Schofield, was the recipient of the award for the best military history project for his exhibit, "The Ardennes: Battle of the Bulge: Hitler's Last Desperate Encounter."
Karlee Shaw, Leah Sherfinski, and Danielle Reed, from D.C. Everest High School, won the "Best of State" award in the senior division for their group performance "Roe v Wade."
Mark Van de Loo from Eau Claire won the "Best of State" award in the junior division for his individual documentary "Arthur Collins: His Giant Leap for Mankind."
Thanks for reading about all of our adventures at National History Day. Our entire delegation had a wonderful time and we hope you enjoyed it with us. On Wisconsin!
