State Event
Visitor Information
Visitors are always
welcome at National History Day in Wisconsin competitions. Seeing
an event is a great way to learn more about the program and
student work. The headquarters for the Wisconsin State Event
is the Pyle Center main lobby, located at 716 Langdon Street
in Madison. Please stop by the registration desk so that event
volunteers can assist you in answering questions and provide
you with an event program.
You can view student
projects throughout the day. Documentary and performance presentations
are open to the public as they are being presented. Websites
and papers will be on display in the Pyle Center. Exhibits areas
are closed to the public while interviews are taking place,
but will be open for viewing at scheduled times throughout the
day.
Accommodations
in Madison
If you plan to stay overnight in Madison, we suggest using an
online hotel reservation service to find the best deals, availability,
and hotel information. These services will allow you to either
make reservations online or to contact the hotel directly. As
in most cities, hotels outside of the downtown area will generally
offer lower rates. If you do stay in the downtown/campus area,
the following hotels are closest to National History Day State
