Wisconsin and the Civil War
Make the Civil War come alive in your classroom by using local primary sources. The following unit, Wisconsin and the Civil War, is an electronic collection of selected primary war-related resources from the vast collections at the Wisconsin Historical Society and accompanying suggested teaching activities. Inspired by the Society archives electronic posting of the Wisconsin Civil War muster rolls, this unit goes far beyond lists and engages students in complex thinking and analytical skill building.
