Ripon celebrates 75 years of the Republican Party

Dedicated to the little white school house, 1854-1929: Republican diamond jubilee celebration, Ripon, Wisconsin, June 7th, 8th, 9th, 1929.


A few months before the Great Crash of 1929, the city of Ripon produced this history and commemorative book on the 75th anniversary of the Republican Party in Wisconsin. It contains articles on the founding of the party and its history up through 1929, portraits of many of Wisconsin's prominent Republican politicians, and information about the policies and personalities in the party nationally on the eve of the Depression.
