Governor Philipp reflects on his childhood in Sauk County, 1920
Gov. Philipp writes story of his boyhood
Governor Emmanuel L. Philipp was born in Sauk County in 1861. Philipp was elected governor in 1914, winning reelection in next two elections. In 1920, the Wisconsin Conservation Commission asked Philipp for a reminiscence of his childhood in Sauk County. The story was printed in the Wisconsin State Journal.
