This map accompanied The Journal of Major George Washington... with a new map of the country as far as the Mississippi. (London, 1754). It shows the interior of the continent, from western Virginia and upstate New York to modern Minnesota and Missouri, including French and British forts in the Ohio Valley and the approximate locations of Indian nations.
