A 1915 ad for a motor scooter
Briggs-Stratton Scooter Ad
Most automobile advertising for young people either downplayed girls' interest in cars or completely ignored them. This ad for a motor scooter from the Milwaukee-based Briggs-Stratton Company is rare for picturing a girl, though references in the text to "fellows" and "boys" suggest that she was not the main target.
