Its subtitle declares this 7-page newspaper article from 1930 to be "a survey of the origins, development, struggles, and and accomplishments of the Progressives in Wisconsin politics." Because its anonymous author lived through many of the events it describes, he gives a convenient firsthand summary of the movement's ideals and methods.
