About the Feature Film List
This searchable film list gives you access by film title to all feature length motion pictures in the collections of the Wisconsin Center for Film and Theater Research.
The list includes American and international features held by the WCFTR. This list does not include titles of short subjects, cartoons, television series or programs, amateur footage or any other non-theatrical motion pictures. Access to non-feature length films is available through the card catalogue in the WCFTR Film and Photo Archive.
Each film record consists of five fields:
Title
This is the original release title in the language of the country of origin. The French film L'Amour A Vingt Ans can be found under that title. If you search for the English release title, Love At Twenty, you will be referred to the French title.
Production Company
This is the company that produced and/or distributed the film.
This field may be used to display "See also" references for alternate titles.
Release year
This is the year in which the film was originally released for theatrical distribution in the country of origin.
Country
This is the country where the principal offices of the production company are located.
Format
This field specifies film gauge or videotape format.
Call Number
This is a unique number assigned to each unit (reel or cassette) of a film. The best way to request film when you are making a viewing appointment is by call number.
