The International Harvester Company produced machinery and armaments for the U.S. military, particularly during World War I and World War II. The company built vehicles, crawler tractors, tanks, rifles, artillery pieces, artillery shells, and other equipment. The company also used wartime themes in its advertising and took part in activities such as scrap drives, training women for work on the home front ("Tractorettes"), and war bond drives.
