Title: PT Boats
Description: View of two PT (Patrol Torpedo) boats from another PT boat, off of the north coast of New Guinea (present day Papua New Guinea). PT (Patrol Torpedo) boats were a variety of torpedo-armed fast attack craft used to attack larger surface ships. One of the boat's guns and some of the soldier's gear and helmets can be seen on the deck. A soldier is sitting (partially obscured) on the right.

Robert Doyle was a civilian war correspondent for the Milwaukee Journal during World War II, covering the experiences of Wisconsin troops in the 32nd "Red Arrow" Division, an infantry division of the United States Army National Guard. The "Red Arrow" Division consisted mainly of soldiers from Wisconsin and Michigan.
