Description: William Scobie, age 16 of Brodhead, holds a flight bag while embarking an airplane. Scobie won a trip to Hawaii for selling the most subscriptions to the Wisconsin State Journal in a contest held during November and December. He bids goodbye to his sisters, Mrs. Norman Everson and Mrs. Duane Youngblood. At the top of the steps is Frank Burkart, district circulation manager for Madison Newspapers, Inc.
