Map of the Western Territory Showing Route of Dragoons Under Command of Col. Henry Dodge
This map covers the Western Territory of the United States from the Rocky Mountains in Colorado south to Fort Smith, Arkansas, and from the Pacific Ocean east to the Black Hills. The map shows Indian villages and Indian lands, roads used as trade route between Santa Fe, New Mexico and St. Louis, Missouri, forts, and Spanish Territory. The map includes the route of the Dragoons under the command of Colonel Dodge in 1833, 1834, and 1835. Map relief is shown by hachures and shading. |
