Kearney and Hillery Beachey |
| Description: |
Horace Kearney (left), a member of the Curtiss exhibition team, and Hillery Beachey, brother of the famous aviator, Lincoln Beachey. Kearney was familiar to Wisconsin audiences, having appeared with Farnum Fish and John Kaminski in Milwaukee in 1912. Kearney disappeared over the Pacific Ocean in 1915. Although Hillery Beachey was a pilot in his own right, he was not of the same caliber as his famous brother. He retired from exhibition flying to become his brother's mechanic.
