This atlas shows the western hemisphere, with a small portion of Spain and Africa. Several place names are labeled, such as the Plymouth colony, settlements, regions, rivers, and Islands. California is depicted as an Island. The atlas includes eight pages of descriptive text, explaining the natives, land, and examining the history of the exploration of the Americas, but only going as far back as Christopher Columbus. |
