Map or Atlas
A Map of the British and French Settlements in North America
Map of North America east of the Mississippi River showing cities, settlements, Native American land, mountains, lakes, rivers, and the boundaries between French and English claims. This map shows a strong British bias, claiming several regions largely recognized as French territories for the British. Notes describing the boundaries, various treaties, and native American tribes appear throughout the map. Small illustrations of trees dot the interior of America, though they rarely appear in the interior of Canada. |
