A Map of the Northern and Middle States: Comprehending the Western Territory and the British Dominions in North America from the Best Authorities
Map of the United States east of the Mississippi River and north of the Ohio River. It shows the borders between the north eastern states, Canada and the United States, and the Mason-Dixon line. The map also includes counties, cities, towns, forts, Native American land and towns, mines, army land, mountains, swamps, lakes, and rivers. A few notes appear throughout the map, such as one in Canada on the "Eskimeaux." The army land, land reserved for veterans of the Revolutionary war, shown here consist of Illinois Company, Wagbash Company, New Jersey Company, Ohio Company, and the 7 Ranges, along with the Donation Lands from the Commonwealth of Virginia and General Clark's Grant 1500 acres. |
