Map or Atlas
A Map of the Province of Pensilvania
Map of Pennsylvania, showing cities, towns, roads, trading paths, portages, forts, mountains, swamps, waterfalls, lakes, and rivers. The map further includes a detailed account of Native American tribes, land, and villages. Four names are listed for the Ohio River, including the Shawnee name "Palawa Thepiki." A decorative scene of trees and ships at anchor by a port town frames the title cartouche in the lower right corner. Faint offsetting from a page of The London Magazine is on the left half of the map. |
