Circus Performers Astride Horses
Two horses stand next to each other in front of what may be a painted backdrop of a tree-lined street. A male circus performer stands in the center holding the reins of the horses, while Oscar Lowande, another male performer, stands on top of the horses, with one leg positioned on the back of each horse. His wife, Mamie Lowande, is standing on his shoulders, creating a pyramid effect. They are members of the Forepaugh & Sells Bros. Circus. |
