Description: Officers of Company I, 7th Wisconsin Infantry: (left to right) Lt. Joseph N.P. Bird, Captain George H. Walther, and Lt. Christopher Lefler. Their Black servant, Alonzo Gambel, can be seen standing in the shadow of the tent. This photograph was taken during the summer of 1862 while the regiment was camped near Fredericksburg, Virginia.
