Information: 		According to the Wittenberg Enterprise of Sept. 7, 1922, the Wittenberg Grays had traveled to Eagle River, Wis. the previous Sunday, losing to the local team 6 to 4. The paper reported that "'Buck' Weaver, the world-famous former White Sox third baseman, was in the Eagle River line-up. ... Weaver was the main hitter for the River team, getting three hits out of four times to bat. He also played a star game at his position at third base." On Sept. 14, 1922, the Enterprise quoted the Vilas County News, "Buck Weaver held down third, but kept within bounds by leaving out his talky-talk which won him friends in this little old burg."
