The Siggelkow family came from Meclenburg, Germany and settled near Madison, Wisconsin. This family picture was taken the day before the family sailed for America. On the right, in the back row is Wilhelm, the eldest son, who had gone ahead of the family to manage the baggage. The photograph of him dated approximately 1864-1865 was later added to the family group. |
