McCormick's Patent Reaping and Mowing Machine
Handbill or broadsheet advertising McCormick's Patent Reaping and Mowing Machine, manufactured by C.H. McCormick and Co. Includes an illustration of the machine in use. One man is driving the horses, another raking the cut grain from the reaper's platform, and a third bundling the cut grain by hand. A long block of text in which Cyrus McCormick describes the superiority of his machine and the honors won by it. A small note at the top indicates that the broadsheet is intended for distribution in Illinois, Wisconsin, Iowa, Michigan and northern Indiana. |
