A 1984 radio interview appeared in the September 20, 2007 issue of the Isthmus newspaper a week after Dimetra Shivers's death. In it Dimetra discussed the racism she experienced in Kewanee and Madison (www.thedailypage.com/isthmus/article.php?article=8522). A letter by her about a racial slight she experienced as a member of the Girl Scouts of America can be found in the Wisconsin Historical Society archives, SC385, along with a photograph of her. |
