"Gambling With Fate" Poster
Industrial safety sign or poster featuring the "grim reaper" and advising factory workers to "be a booster for safety." The sign reads: "Gambling With Fate; Workmen, taking chances, around moving machinery is gambling with FATE. Nine times out of ten, YOU LOSE. We urge upon YOU extreme care. Safeguards can do a great deal to protect you, but they will not protect you, if you take chances. Careful workmen-are usually efficient. Careless workmen-are not. By your careful co-operation we can make the IHC factories-safe factories for all workmen. Be a booster for safety." |
