Prophecy on page 39 reads, "Flitting through the ball rooms and society gatherings at the national capital, charming all observers, not only with her beauty and kindness but with her sweet character and fine intellect is a distinguished looking lady. She Miss Masse is engaged to the ambassador from Russia who is a brother to the president of that country. All of her old class mates will be the only attendants at the wedding." Adeline Byington Massee graduated from Dunn County Normal School in 1907. She married Claude Phillips and had six children with him. Two were born in Wisconsin, two in Montana, and two in California, where the family settled in the 1920s.
