ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Page 61 of 70. Prophecy on page 59, which refers to both Andersen and Wilcox, reads, "Truth is stranger than fiction and we realize the truth of this old adage when we learn the fates of Hazel Anderson and Lucile Wilcox. Who would have thought that such modest retiring maidens were destined to pass their lives as stars under a gaudy circus canvas of the greatest of shows. However the trapeze their throne to which millions of admiring subjects flock daily to admire their beauty, grace and skill." Hazel Anderson did not become a circus artist. She studied art at the Chicago School of Arts and taught the subject in the Menomonie public schools. In 1912, she got married to W.L. Davis. They lived in Eau Claire until 1953, when they moved to California. Hazel came back to Menomonie for the 1955 class reunion. Lucile Wilcox married Joseph T. Flint in 1909, and the couple had two children, Joseph and Sarra. Information about Hazel Anderson and Lucile Wilcox has been researched through U.S. census data and obituaries.
