Description: Robert A. Taft outdoors shaking hands in a crowd after giving a speech in the Municipal Building during his campaign. He was ultimately unsuccessful in his bid to be elected President. He served as Senator from Ohio from January 1939 until July 31, 1953. His father was President and Chief Justice William Howard Taft.
