Title: Stuffed Old Abe on a Perch
Description: Side view of "Old Abe", eagle mascot of the 8th Regiment, Wisconsin Volunteer Infantry. After his death in 1881, he was stuffed, mounted, and placed in the Capitol museum. The shield he is perched on is painted with American stars and stripes.
